This year at least 4 boats were competing sailed by RLYC members.

The results were very good,

Quokka with Andrew McIrvine and Jackdaw with David Walters took something of a flyer (as advised by our weather router) South to avoid the light weather on the first night of the race so picked up the new breeze. Both did very well, Quokka was Ist in Class 1B and 3rd in Class 1 overall. Jackdaw was Ist in Class 2A and 2nd in Class 2 overall.

Harry Heijst was 5th in Class 2A 7th in Class 2. A very respectable result but not as good as he would have liked after his great success in the Sydney Hobart

Marinero sailed by Ken Newman and David Gower were 11th in 2A but most importantly Ken won the Dennis Doyle Salver for the most Fastnets completed (we think 26!)
