GENERAL NOTES
The Club has organised a Rally to the
Royal Navy Submarine Museum at Haslar , Gosport on Saturday 6 June 2009.
Berthing has been arranged at the Hornet Sailing Club and Joint Services
Sailing Centre (JSSC) 5 minutes walk from the Museum. This Rally is open to all
RLYC boat owners and their guests. Those without boats are also particularly
welcome. Access to the Museum is easy from the Mainland, and can be achieved
from the Isle of Wight via the Fast Cat from Ryde Pier, and the Gosport Ferry
accross Portsmouth Harbour. The Anglesey Hotel in Alverstoke (1 mile from the
Museum) can provide comfortable overnight accommodation (Tel: 023 92582157),
and a return taxi service to/from the Hotel and the Museum can be booked.

Sample
Berthing Charges at the Hornet Sailing Club/JSSC are £11 per night for a 9mtr Boat,
and £17 per night for a 13mtr Boat. There will be an entrance fee for the S/M
Museum to include the Guided Tour of HMS ALLIANCE. There will be a charge for
Dinner. All drinks throughout can be purchased from the Cash Bar.
NB. THE FACT SHEET WITH FULL DETAILS WILL BE PROMULGATED IN EARLY MAY.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY NUMBERS DEPENDANT. WE NEED AT LEAST 43 ATTENDEES.
