The Royal London Yacht Club is delighted to announce its 2012 Sailing
Programme. A full and varied programme of Regattas has been scheduled for
2012.
Events to note are the 50th Deauville Race starting on Friday 1st June,
followed by the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Regatta over the Bank Holiday
weekend, a new format Britannia weekend in May and Daring Match Racing in
May, June and early July.
We will be running nine days of racing for the Cowes Keelboats throughout
the season and the Cowes Keelboat Championships in June.
The 12m, 8m and J class will be coming to Cowes in July which will provide
remarkable spectator viewing, followed by our own Cowes Classics Week
(formerly the Metre and Classic Keelboat Regatta) and the end of the month.
Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week is a week later in August this year as
it follows the Olympics and the Daring August Bank Holiday Regatta takes
place towards the end of the month.
Club Rallies are planned to take place in May and July, the Commodore’s
Rally in August followed by the Deauville 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
Finally we hope to be invited by the Royal Netherlands Yacht Club to Muiden
in October to defend the Cannonball Trophy which we won at Cowes last year.
