Message from the Commodore to the Private Secretary to HRH The Princess Royal

"On behalf of the members and staff of the Royal London Yacht Club please convey to Her Royal Highness our deepest sympathy on the death of her father the Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip had been our Admiral until he passed the baton to Her Royal Highness who is our present Admiral. Prince Philip and his children enjoyed sailing in Cowes with Royal London Yacht Club members. Often this was with Uffa Fox, a stalwart member of the Royal London, who helped the duke to teach sailing to his children including Her Royal Highness. I have sent a hand written note to Her Royal Highness to offer condolences from the club and from me personally."
