Club Race Officer Course

For all those wishing to formalise their race management/volunteering skills, this is an entry level course offered by the RYA, the bottom rung of the race management qualifications so to speak. Don't be fooled by the title, this course is low level suitable for all volunteers.

We plan to display the content on a large TV screen, but if you wish to bring your own laptop or iPad with you so that you can go at your own pace you are more than welcome. We offer a friendly group setting with help from our experienced race officers on hand. We warmly encourage all volunteers with no formal qualifications to take this course, thereby ensuring that the RLYC race team can offer the best racing possible with a strong team of volunteers. It might be the first step on a road to greater things!

Please arrive 0900 for a 0930 start, or earlier if everyone is ready.

You are welcome to have lunch in the Club, there will be a special offer for attendees which will include a couple of light bites and a drink, or of course you will be welcome to choose from the normal bar menu if you prefer.
