- 2.The Flag Officers and General Committee as presently constituted shall remain in office until an EGM is called in accordance with Rule 6.5 which shall take place on or before the 31st March 2027.
- 3.The time limits referred to in the following rules shall be suspended for the period referred to in clause 2. Rules 4.1, 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 5.5, 6.3
- 4.Rule 5.6 is suspended for the period referred to in clause 2.
Proposed by:
His Hon Peter Ralls KC Commodore
Seconded by:
Robert Dench Vice Commodore
Note: the Flag Officers, Trustees and General Committee consider that in view of the continued discussions between the Royal Thames Yacht Club and Royal London Yacht Club it is sensible to delay the AGM which the Rules state must be held in September each year (for this year only) until a date in October which coincides with the AGM of the RTYC.
It was also considered prudent to maintain the continuity of the existing Flag officers and General Committee of the RLYC in view of ongoing discussions with the RT with regard to changes relating to the Collaboration Agreement. The EGM is therefore being asked to suspend the rules relating to the election of Flag Officers and General Committee members to a date no later than the end of March 2027 when a further EGM must be called.
