RLYC had a successful Cowes Week.

RLYC member Peter Taylor, Director of Cowes Week, was awarded the Spirit of Cowes Week Trophy. Gill Smith, the PRO, also a member, was awarded the Women's Day Trophy.

The RLYC won the Solent Team Trophy sponsored by Cuvée 450 with Giles Peckham in "Dauntless", Sir Richard Ottaway in "Debutante" and Peter Dickson in "Star-Born 4"

The Daring Class was won by "Dauntless" (Giles & Jane Peckham) with good places by "Debutante" (Sir Richard Ottaway) and "Dolphin" (David Gower, Peter Haworth and Jamie Clark)

Giles Peckham, in Daring "Dauntless" won for a record fourth time, with five firsts and one second place. Giles was sailing with his wife Jane and co-owner Richard Romer-Lee. Mark Harrison and Richard Acland stepped in on different days.
